Overview​

The following connector allows airbyte users to fetch various meetings & webinar data points from the Zoom source. This connector is built entirely using the low-code CDK.

Please note that currently, it only supports Full Refresh syncs. That is, every time a sync is run, Airbyte will copy all rows in the tables and columns you set up for replication into the destination in a new table.

Performance considerations​

Most of the endpoints this connector access is restricted by standard Zoom requests limitation, with a few exceptions. For more info, please check zoom API documentation. We’ve added appropriate retries if we hit the rate-limiting threshold.

Please create an issue if you see any rate limit issues that are not automatically retried successfully.

Getting started​

Setup guide​

The connector reads account-wide data, so both authentication methods need an account-level Zoom app with the scopes below.

OAuth2.0​

  1. In Airbyte, select OAuth2.0.
  2. If Airbyte asks for a client ID and client secret, create a General app in the Zoom App Marketplace first:
    1. Select Admin-managed. A user-managed app can't list your account's users, so the connection test fails.
    2. Add the redirect URL that Airbyte shows to the app's OAuth redirect URL and OAuth allow list.
    3. Add the scopes, then enter the app's client ID and client secret in Airbyte.
  3. Click Authenticate your Zoom account and sign in as a Zoom account owner or admin.

Zoom refresh tokens expire after 90 days, so re-authenticate the source if it doesn't sync for that long. Authorizing the same Zoom app again, for example for a second source, revokes the tokens issued earlier.

Server-to-Server OAuth​

Existing Server-to-Server OAuth configurations are migrated automatically. If you manage the source through the Airbyte API or Terraform, send these settings inside the credentials object with auth_type set to server_to_server. A configuration with only the old top-level account_id, client_id, client_secret, and authorization_endpoint fields is rejected, and the connector removes those fields once credentials.auth_type is set.

Apps that use Zoom's classic scopes need user:read:admin, meeting:read:admin, webinar:read:admin, and report:read:admin instead.

IP allow list​

If you use Airbyte Cloud and your organization restricts access to specific IPs, add the Airbyte Cloud IP addresses to your allow list.
